Loss or not, O'Neal got some senior leadership from Boyd Kenny who scored 11 points and Brennan Hodges who scored ten points. Hodges set a new season high mark in points with ten. Jacob Lindsey was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Cristian Sias was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds for Fayetteville Christian. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Sias has scored at least 25% of Fayetteville Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Ben Webster, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
O'Neal bumped their record down to 0-9 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Fayetteville Christian, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
O'Neal will look to defend their home court on Friday against Westminster Catawba Christian at 6:30 p.m. Westminster Catawba Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 420 points over their last six games. Fayetteville Christian will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against St. Pauls at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. St. Pauls is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.5 points per game.
