Mesick's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayla McCoy, who scored 11 points along with six assists and two steals. McCoy has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Cassie Sexton, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Mesick has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Cadillac Heritage Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
