The Glenn Bobcats will head out on the road to square off against the Davie War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Glenn sitting on three straight wins and Davie on four.
Glenn proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 20) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Northwood a 2-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bobcats have posted since March 19th.

The result came thanks to Logan Stump's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Glenn is 4-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 7-8 otherwise.
At the plate, Glenn's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Derrick Stevens, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Davie got the win against R.J. Reynolds on Thursday by a conclusive 15-1. The War Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.
Colin Harrison looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Coy James, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Krause, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.
Davie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .391 or higher in three consecutive games.
Davie's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-12. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Glenn, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Glenn has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .438. However, it's not like Davie struggles in that department as they've averaged .472. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Glenn skirted past Davie 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
