The DuSable Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Harlan, posting a 35-4 win at home. Winning may never get old, but DuSable sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Damaya Plant was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Lanae Harris, who scored ten points.
DuSable pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Harlan, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
DuSable will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bowen at 5:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Bowen: 22, DuSable: 17.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
