After flying high against the Fredericksburg V Victory last Saturday, the Northern Virginia HomeSchool Centurions came back down to earth. Northern Virginia HomeSchool fell to the Conquistadors 67-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (62), Northern Virginia HomeSchool still had to take the loss.
Several Centurions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Gresham, who scored 16 points. Gabe Drown was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Northern Virginia HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Seton, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northern Virginia HomeSchool will square off against the at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Christ Chapel Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Centurions are ranked 138th). As for Seton, they will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
