It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Tocoi Creek had no problem doing just that on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-28 win over the Saints. Given Tocoi Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Sandalwood is ranked 431st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Audrey Beyer was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. She hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenzie Mabry, who scored eight points along with five steals and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Mandarin put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Flagler Palm Coast 78-35 on the road. Mandarin's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Mia Chandler, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
