The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 46-27 victory over South Plainfield on Thursday.
Among those leading the charge was Jayden Richards, who rushed for 186 yards while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Richards was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards. Another player making a difference was Noah Ricca, who rushed for 102 yards.
Despite the loss, South Plainfield still got an impressive performance from Pat Smith , who rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry.
Scotch Plains-Fanwood's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for South Plainfield, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Scotch Plains-Fanwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. South Plainfield also has no future games currently scheduled.
