The Malone Tigers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Cottondale Hornets at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 51-22, which was the final score in Malone's tilt against Chipley on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Malone has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Cottondale was beaten by Sneads 46-13 on Friday. Cottondale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-8.
Malone's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.8 points per game. As for Cottondale, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Malone skirted past Cottondale 36-34 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Malone have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cottondale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
