Gholson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hudson Thomas, who scored 13 points. Thomas scored a full 35.1% of Gholson's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Salinas, who scored nine points.
Gholson has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Oglesby, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Gholson will head out on the road to face off against Cranfills Gap at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cranfills Gap is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Oglesby, they will be playing at home against Aquilla at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Aquilla is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
