The Southwest Florida Christian King's will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Neumann Celtics at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Thursday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Southwest Florida Christian had to settle for a 29-26 defeat against Glades Day.
Even though the team lost, they still came through with several impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Isaac Tanner, who rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Moore, who threw for 219 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Neumann fell victim to First Baptist Academy's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Lions at home and fell 47-0. Having soared to a lofty 45 points in the game before, Neumann couldn't push the score so high this time.
Southwest Florida Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Neumann, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
