This season hasn't been kind to Bob Jones Academy, who are still winless after their seventh match. They suffered a rough 58-34 loss at the hands of Trinity Christian on Wednesday.
Trinity Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Burnham out in front who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Burnham is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emily Jordan, who scored 15 points along with six assists and five steals.
Bob Jones Academy's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.0 points per game. As for Trinity Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8.
Bob Jones Academy will look to defend their home court on Monday against Lake Pointe Academy at 6:30 p.m. Trinity Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Greenville H at 8:30 p.m. on January 25th. Greenville H is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
