Last Tuesday, Glenn Hills was beaten by the Patriots 103-38. While losing is never fun, Glenn Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 474th, while the Patriots are ranked 22nd).
Meanwhile, Putnam County pushed their score all the way to 63 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 89-63 walloping at the hands of Thomson. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Putnam County in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.
Glenn Hills' loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Putnam County, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season.
Glenn Hills suffered a grim 72-48 defeat to the War Eagles in their previous matchup back in January. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Glenn Hills was down 38-18.
