It was a good run, but The Patriot Pioneers unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 14-13 to Mountain View. The match was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but Patriot was just barely outscored by Mountain View in the second.
Although Patriot took the loss, they still got scores from Jackson Mccarter and Colton Kershaw.
Patriot's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Mountain View, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Patriot will challenge Gar-Field at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain View, they will head out on the road to face off against North Stafford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Stafford comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
