The Spring Mountain Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Liberty Baptist Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-31 win on the road. Spring Mountain has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Liberty Baptist Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Ryan Campbell and Bruce Delgado. Campbell scored 13 points, while Delgado scored five points along with four steals. Delgado hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games.
The win was the sixth in a row for Spring Mountain, bringing their record for this year to 12-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Liberty Baptist Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
Spring Mountain is on the road again on Monday and plays the Knights at 4:00 p.m. on February 5th. Round Mountain is on a three-game streak of home wins, the Eagles a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Liberty Baptist Academy will take on the Sidewinders at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
