Paw Paw is 0-10 against East Hardy since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Paw Paw has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 22 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 63-32 win over Mountain View Christian Academy on the road. That 63-32 margin sets a new team best for Paw Paw this season.
Donavan Tanouye was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with nine assists and six steals. The match was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Williams, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, East Hardy took their matchup on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 89-52 victory over Tygarts Valley.
Paw Paw's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for East Hardy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Paw Paw was taken down by East Hardy 86-33 in their previous meeting back in February. Thankfully for Paw Paw, Ashton Haslacker (who went 8 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points and 2 assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
