If the St. Mary's Lancers were feeling good off their 65-42 takedown of the Randolph Cardinals last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. St. Mary's fell just short of Hilton by a score of 58-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Perhaps the best among them was Kenzie Owens, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Emily Mcdonald, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hilton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
St. Mary's won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Horseheads at 10:00 a.m. on December 10th. As for Hilton, they will be playing at home against St. Mary's at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
