The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lodi, who took down 207th ranked Lodi, 31-26. Michael Dare threw for 365 yards and four touchdowns in the win.
Dare and Brandon Velez provided fans with a highlight when they connected against the Rams. The connection was good for 79 yards, the longest such play in North Jersey - Colonial this season.
Velez was the best wideout in the league this week as Elmwood Park bested Lodi. Velez racked up seven receptions for 228 yards. Nick Smith helped Elmwood Park's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 54 yards.
Jesse Asare was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 100 yards as Pat Tirico's team topped Pat Tirico's team. Vinny Paladino also contributed to the rushing game with 73 yards on the ground.
Elmwood Park's Dare and Smith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading North Jersey - Colonial in both passing and receiving yards. Dare has thrown for 1376 yards this season, while Smith, a 6-foot-5 receiver, has 30 catches for 557 yards. Rutherford's Pat Landrigan leads the league in rushing yards with 429.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Garfield takes on the Crusaders. The Boilermakers are in sixth place, while Elmwood Park is in second place.
Hawthorne extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Garfield, 38-20. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
