This season hasn't been kind to The Three Way , who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 54-6 loss at the hands of Avalon. Three Way was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-0.
Josh Novak went supernova for Avalon, rushing for 192 yards and five touchdowns on only ten carries. Novak hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for five straight games. Jake Ozymy was another key contributor, rushing for 75 yards and a touchdown.
Three Way's loss was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. As for Avalon, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
Three Way will head out on the road to face off against Covington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Covington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Three Way in Texas (Covington is ranked 122nd, while Three Way is ranked 259th). As for Avalon, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Blum at 7:00 p.m. Blum is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
