After a string of three wins, the Marksville Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were dealt a 60-33 loss at the hands of Bolton. Marksville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Marksville still got an impressive performance from Vanessa Francisco, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Francisco hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Tamia Porter was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Marksville now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Bolton, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-16.
Marksville will head out on the road to face off against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bolton, they will be playing at home against the Giants at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jena and the Bears are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
