Basketball Recap: Maiden Sets Scoring Season-High Against West Lincoln

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maiden). They really took it to the West Lincoln Rebels for the full four quarters, racking up a 106-77 win. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 24 points or more this season.

Maiden's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lincoln Frasure, who went 11 for 14 en route to 29 points and six boards. With that strong performance, Frasure is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Raheim Misher, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Maiden smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

Maiden pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.3 points per game. As for West Lincoln, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maiden will head out to challenge West Caldwell at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. West Caldwell knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Maiden likes a good challenge. As for West Lincoln, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bunker Hill at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. West Lincoln is facing Bunker Hill at the right time seeing as Bunker Hill is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
