After four games on the road, GEO Next Generation is heading back home. They will take on MTI School of Knowledge at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. MTI School of Knowledge took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on GEO Next Generation, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, GEO Next Generation earned a 40-29 win over BELIEVE Circle City. The win was just what GEO Next Generation needed coming off of a 53-25 defeat in their prior matchup.
GEO Next Generation's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Patrick Robinson, who scored 12 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Robinson has scored at least 25% of GEO Next Generation's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Wilson Jr., who scored 10 points.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 65 points the game before, MTI School of Knowledge were a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 69-21 loss at the hands of Phalen Leadership Academy. MTI School of Knowledge has struggled against Phalen Leadership Academy recently, as their game on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
The losses dropped GEO Next Generation to 3-1 and BELIEVE Circle City to 0-3.
GEO Next Generation suffered a grim 53-27 defeat to MTI School of Knowledge when the teams last played back in January. Can GEO Next Generation avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
