Basketball Recap: Chatham Charter Skates Past River Mill with Ease

Chatham Charter's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the River Mill Jaguars 73-25. With that victory, the Knights brought their scoring average up to 50.6 points per game.

Chatham Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabe McKoy, who posted 11 points along with eight assists and six steals. Those eight assists gave McKoy a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brennan LaVelle, who went 5 of 6 en route to 10 points and seven boards.

McKoy wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Chatham Charter was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Chatham Charter has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 45.7 points. As for River Mill, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home.
