A Season-Best Performance from Torin Wolf Leads Minarets over Caruthers
Torin Wolf produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Minarets to the win on Friday. Wolf threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also made an appearance on special teams (luckily for Minarets): his a 47-yard strike wound up winning them the game.
Wolf and Minarets will host Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs had to take a loss when they last met the Hawks, but Wolf had little to do with the loss: he threw for 171 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a rushing score. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Stephenson Posts Huge Game in 44-12 Win
Chowchilla picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Davian Stephenson. Stephenson was dynamite, rushing for 54 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 28 yards and a touchdown. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble, making five total tackles, and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Chowchilla pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Stephenson and Chowchilla will venture away from home to square off against Fowler at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Minarets Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Jabari Gomez
Jabari Gomez's big game helped extend Minarets's winning streak to six on Friday. Caruthers had no answer to Gomez as he picked up 131 receiving yards and a touchdown. Gomez also made an appearance on special teams (luckily for Minarets): his a 47-yard strike wound up winning them the game.
On the year, Gomez has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 53.2 receiving yards per game.

While Liberty might've come up empty on Friday, Talan Lamattina wasn't going down without a fight. Lamattina turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 61 yards and a touchdown.
If the past is any indication, Lamattina could be in store for another big game when he takes on Minarets on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Lamattina saw the Mustangs), he rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.

Travis Selby Dazzles in Chowchilla Victory
Travis Selby posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Selby is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Fowler on Friday. When Selby last faced the Redcats back in October of 2023, he rushed for 112 yards on only 14 carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.
