It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Clarendon Broncos had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Boys Ranch at home to the tune of 46-6. The win was familiar territory for Clarendon who now have eight in a row.
Despite the loss, Boys Ranch still got an impressive performance from James Sully, who rushed for 120 yards on only 13 carries.
Clarendon's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Memphis and 1-9 Smyer (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 22% over those games). As for Boys Ranch, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Clarendon will be playing at home against Seagraves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Seagraves' favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three games. Boys Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
