The Skyridge Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Lehi Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Skyridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Lone Peak, taking the game 56-49.
It was another big night for Jordan Kohler, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Skyridge's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tate Larson, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Lehi had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Westlake with a sharp 85-64 win. The score was all tied up 37-37 at the break, but Lehi was the better team in the second half.
Skyridge's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Lehi, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3.
Skyridge beat Lehi 77-66 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Skyridge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
