Basketball Recap: South Wake Skates Past Greater Vision Academy with Ease

A well-balanced attack led South Wake over Greater Vision Academy in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the South Wake Sabres blew the Greater Vision Academy Lions out of the water with a 75-25 final score. The Sabres have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Wake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Wright, who went 6 for 13 en route to 17 points. Wright has been hot, having posted 16 or more points the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Thomas Williams, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 16 points along with eight boards and three steals.

South Wake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Greater Vision Academy still got an impressive performance from Amari King, who went 7 for 13 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds.

South Wake has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for Greater Vision Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

South Wake will square off against Grovemont at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Wake has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Greater Vision Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
