Jordyn Ault was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She tossed seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Elena Newsom and Taylor Cotham stepped up to the plate in a big way. Newsom went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Cotham went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That triple marked the first that Newsom has hit this season.
