Girls Global Academy kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. Their rough 24-6 loss to the DC International Dragons might stick with them for a while.
For DC International's part, Minna Balk made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (she also only allowed one walk). Balk was even better at the plate, going 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and a triple.

Girls Global Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Richard Wright Public Charter School at 3:30 p.m. on April 10th. As for DC International, they will head out on the road to take on Idea at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
