On Friday, the Pinedale Wranglers faced the Lander Valley Tigers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Everything went Pinedale's way against Lander Valley as Pinedale made off with a 68-46 win. Pinedale has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season.
Elyn Bowers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrielle Rogers, who scored 13 points.
Pinedale's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Lander Valley, they dropped their record down to 6-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinedale will take on Lovell at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Lovell is ranked 12th, while Pinedale is ranked tenth). As for Lander Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain View at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
