Solon's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Nordonia Knights a 3-0 shutout. The three-run effort marked the Comets' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory snapped Solon's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record. As for Nordonia, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Solon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
