There's no place like home for the Pendleton Heights Arabians, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 59-48 victory over Mississinewa on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Pendleton Heights also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Pendleton Heights was led to victory by Josiah Gustin and Evan Mozingo. Gustin scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and six assists, while Mozingo scored 15 points along with two steals and two blocks. Seth Laravia was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Mississinewa lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Preston McCann, who scored ten points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kobe Johnson, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Pendleton Heights' win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Mississinewa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pendleton Heights will take on New Castle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully New Castle focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Thursday. As for Mississinewa, they will be playing at home against Eastbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
