If the Valley Forge Military Academy Trojans were feeling good off their 62-40 takedown of Varsity Opponent on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Valley Forge Military Academy ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-33 walloping at the hands of Jenkintown on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Valley Forge Military Academy has scored all season.
It was another big night for Tommy Walsh, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds for Jenkintown. Walsh hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kareem Jackson, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Valley Forge Military Academy's loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for Jenkintown, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Valley Forge Military Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Morrisville at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Jenkintown will be home for the holidays to greet Quakertown Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
