The East Poinsett County Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Rector Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (East Poinsett County is ranked 115th, while Rector is ranked 128th).
Last Saturday, East Poinsett County lost to Germantown on the road by a decisive 53-39 margin.
Despite the defeat, East Poinsett County saw an underclassman step up: Jacob Gaines scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrus Reel, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Rector beat Earle 57-52 on Friday. The victory was just what Rector needed coming off of a 74-48 loss in their prior matchup.
East Poinsett County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Rector, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
