Lee Central has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Lake City Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lee Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Lake City likes a good challenge.
Last Tuesday, Lee Central strolled past Lamar with points to spare, taking the game 60-45.
Lee Central can attribute much of their success to Kiauj Allen, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists, and Chuck Harry, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. The match was Allen's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of De'Marius Gregg, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Lake City was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 57-53 to Andrews.
The losing side was boosted by Bryson Rose, who scored 21 points along with 3 steals. He scored a full 39.6% of Lake City's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Blayne Edwards, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds.
The win got Lee Central back to even at 2-2. As for Lake City, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Lee Central hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 58.8 points per game. However, it's not like Lake City struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 52 per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run up the score up higher Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
