The West Florence Knights lost against the South Florence Bruins back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. West Florence fell 55-47 to South Florence. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Florence in their matchups with South Florence: they've now lost five in a row.
Jada Montgomery continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Florence, scoring 24 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Amari Gamble, who scored eight points along with five assists and two steals.
West Florence has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for South Florence, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Florence will face off against Myrtle Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Florence, they will head out on the road to square off against Hartsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hartsville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
