The Cambridge School Griffins can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They blew past Monarch 50-29. Winning may never get old, but The Cambridge School sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Monarch lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elliot Macias, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Macias hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Jason Small, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
The Cambridge School has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for Monarch, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Cambridge School will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Tritons at 4:30 p.m. on February 1st. As for Monarch, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Redhawks at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Mountain Empire focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Monday.
