The biggest upset of the week belonged to Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy, who took down 176th ranked Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy, 24-7.
Jackson Heights moved up to 176 from 218 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Delaware Valley. The Cobras climbed the ranks as a result of a 24-7 win over the Junior Ravens.
Horton's dynamic duo of Derrick Stone and Spencer DeLosSantos proved tough for Doniphan West to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Stone threw for 128 yards and one touchdown and DeLosSantos had 73 yards receiving. Dakota Bayles helped Horton's passing attack out by catching four balls for 45 yards.
Justin Sharp was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 187 yards on 18 carries as Oskaloosa fell to the Mustangs. Teammate Luis Rodriguez added to the ground attack by rushing for 98 yards.
Drew Sachen provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Immaculata fell to Pleasant Ridge. He completed three passes for 33 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 169 yards. Sachen's favorite target this week was Dustin Jostmeyer, who caught one pass for 20 yards.
Horton's Stone and Bayles have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Stone has thrown for 401 yards this season, while Bayles, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 15 catches for 219 yards. The Raiders' Sachen leads the league in rushing yards with 598.
The top two teams in Delaware Valley will face off this week when first place Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] takes on second place Atchison County. Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] bested Troy last week, while Atchison County defeated Valley Falls.
The Rams were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 11th to sixth in the league. Pleasant Ridge beat Immaculata 20-14 earlier in the week.
