Purdue Polytechnic has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Covenant Christian Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Purdue Polytechnic is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Covenant Christian in Indiana (Purdue Polytechnic is ranked 91st, while Covenant Christian is ranked 221st).
Purdue Polytechnic suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Indianapolis Washington by a score of 41-39. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Purdue Polytechnic has scored all season.
Despite their defeat, Purdue Polytechnic saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Derrick Johnson, who scored ten points, was perhaps the best of all. Devin Chase was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Covenant Christian, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-41 loss to Christel House on Tuesday. Covenant Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Purdue Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Covenant Christian, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
