Chowchilla wouldn't let Minarets keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Chowchilla can thank Alejandro Molina and Mister Mitchell for forcing both of them. Meanwhile, a win for Caruthers just wasn't in the cards last Friday as the squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They lost 34-14 to Mission College Prep.
Chowchilla's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Caruthers, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
Chowchilla won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in October of 2023, slipping by Caruthers 32-31. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Caruthers' Hunter Babb, who rushed for 309 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry.
