Sheffield scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairley Bulldogs. The Knights have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Sheffield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Fairley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

As for Fairley, they will head out on the road to face off against Freedom Prep Academy on Monday. Freedom Prep Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.25 runs per game on average), something Fairley will no doubt try to take advantage of.
