The R.J. Reynolds Demons had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 63-51 victory over Glenn on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as R.J. Reynolds also won the last time the pair played back in January.
R.J. Reynolds was led to victory by Andreas Kazakos and Antoine Jones Jr.. Kazakos scored 14 points, while Jones Jr. scored 19 points along with two steals. Jones Jr. has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kingston Carmichael, who scored 11 points.
Glenn lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jeremiah Torian, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rain Booker, who scored five points along with four steals and two blocks.
The win got R.J. Reynolds back to even at 10-10. As for Glenn, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost 12 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
R.J. Reynolds will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East Forsyth at 8:00 p.m. One thing working in East Forsyth's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matchups. As for Glenn, they will be playing at home against Mount Tabor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Glenn: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Mount Tabor has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
