The Ravenna Ravens's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 50-32 bruising from Chaney. Ravenna was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Chaney apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.
Chaney found their leader in underclassman Alyssa Brown, who scored 26 points along with nine steals. Brown is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ja?ziya Burley, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Ravenna has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Chaney, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Ravenna will be playing in front of their home fans against Garfield Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Chaney won't have much time to rest: their next match is against East at 6:15 p.m. on January 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (East is ranked 425th, while Chaney is ranked 435th).
