Grantsville had a senior duo take command as Baylee Lowder dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten boards and Avery Allred went 8-for-11 en route to 19 points and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lowder has scored all season. Kodee Williams was another key player, putting up five points and five steals.
Grantsville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Judge Memorial Catholic strolled past Layton Christian Academy with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 53-36.
Judge Memorial Catholic's win came from a few key players Grantsville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Munah Doe, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Elyah Ocampo, who posted eight points and five boards.
Grantsville's win was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.3 points. As for Judge Memorial Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Grantsville has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Judge Memorial Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.1 boards.
