Collinsville has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Jersey Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Collinsville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Collinsville's game was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They secured a 40-36 W over Father McGivney Catholic.
Talesha Gilmore and Ella Guererro were among the main playmakers for Collinsville as the former scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks and the latter scored 19 points along with three steals. Gilmore hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games.
Meanwhile, Jersey earned a 51-38 win over the Indians on Friday.
Collinsville's record now sits at 12-14. As for Jersey, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.
Collinsville beat the Panthers 55-48 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Collinsville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
