Baseball Recap: Drummond Snags 12th Victory in Last 13 Games

Drummond got themselves on the board against Oklahoma Bible on Monday, but Oklahoma Bible never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Trojans. Considering the Bulldogs have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Braxton Ryel made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Grant Tyner was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Aiden Edwards was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Drummond has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Oklahoma Bible, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Drummond will head out to take on Pond Creek-Hunter at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oklahoma Bible, they will venture away from home to challenge Fairview at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
