Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Guerin Catholic). They breezed past the Danville Warriors to the tune of 82-52 on Friday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-22.
It was another big night for Bryson Cardinal, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and ten boards. He has become a key player for Guerin Catholic: the team is 16-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 2-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryne Paris, who posted 12 points.
Guerin Catholic was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
When it comes to explaining why Danville lost, don't look at Benjamin Coleman. Despite the final result, he went 5-for-8 en route to 15 points. Coleman continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
