Tintic has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Wednesday. They will challenge the Pinnacle Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Tintic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
Tintic pushed their score all the way to 55, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 61-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Piute. Tintic has not had much luck with Piute recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Hagen Barton, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Haygen Jameson, who scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Pinnacle ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past Merit Preparatory Academy 66-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Tintic's win bumped their season record to 3-2 while Piute's defeat dropped theirs to 2-1.
Tintic came out on top in a nail-biter against Pinnacle in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, sneaking past 46-43. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Pinnacle's Jonathan Kessler, who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Wednesday, will it be that much easier for Tintic to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
