Even though the Tri-State Christian Crusaders scored an imposing 64 points on Thursday, the Appoquinimink Jaguars still came out on top. Appoquinimink enjoyed a cozy 78-64 win over Tri-State Christian. That's another feather in the cap for Appoquinimink, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeremiah Falko, who scored 28 points along with 9 rebounds. The game was Falko's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Falko, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Appoquinimink's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tri-State Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Appoquinimink will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Salesianum at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Tri-State Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Perryville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
