Mountain View Christian has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Sandy Valley Sidewinders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, Mountain View Christian came up short against Beaver Dam and fell 46-33.
Meanwhile, Sandy Valley waltzed into their contest on Saturday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They put the hurt on Beaver Dam with a sharp 50-30 win. Sandy Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sandy Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Damion Turner, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tage Colon, who scored 11 points.
Mountain View Christian bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Sandy Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
Mountain View Christian was dealt a bruising 63-29 loss at the hands of Sandy Valley in their previous meeting on January 5th. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Turner, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Now that Mountain View Christian knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
