The Hillsboro Indians posted their closest win since December 23, 2023 on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Wilmington 51-48. This was payback for Hillsboro, who suffered a 39-38 loss the last time these two teams met.
Hillsboro's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blake Herdman, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Peighton Bledsoe, who scored nine points along with two steals.
The win got Hillsboro back to even at 11-11. As for Wilmington, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10.
